We are seeking to appoint an innovative Teaching Assistant to support students in school, especially those in our physical disability base. The physical disability base is a 10 place resourced provision for students with a range of physical disabilities. They all require support in accessing their learning to a varying extent; some require solely physical support whilst some also require support with their communication & interaction and access to learning.
We require someone:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the learning needs of all young people.
- Good at building relationships with young people and other adults.
- Qualified at least to level 2 (grade C/4 or above at GCSE) in English and Maths.
- Able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
- Adaptable, flexible, proactive and relentlessly optimistic.
- Able and willing to support students with personal care needs.

We are seeking to appointment an Administrative Officer to support various departments and areas within school. The successful applicant will be based mainly within the front office, but will support the careers advisor, Duke of Edinburgh Award team, teachers running school trips, as well as other curriculum areas and staff as required. Responsibilities will include data entry, communication with parents, colleagues and students, and collating information.
You may be required to work without direct supervision, and so it is crucial that you are able to use your own initiative and be responsible for organising your own workload.
We require:
- A clear and confident communicator.
- A team player who is happy to support different colleagues as required.
- Excellent organisational skills and an attention to detail.
- Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.

About the Role
The Thomas Hardye School is seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of French and Spanish to join our established MFL Department. You will teach across KS3–KS5, contributing to the delivery of our exciting curriculum; Year 9 (KS3), GCSE French and Spanish and the possibility of teaching A Level French and/or Spanish.
We are looking for a teacher who will inspire a love of languages in all students.

The Thomas Hardye School has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence, creativity, and opportunity. It is a large comprehensive school with 450 students in each year group (years 9 – 11) and a thriving sixth form of approx. 700 students. The majority of our lower school students continue to study either French or Spanish to GCSE level.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Is a talented and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge.
- Has the ability to teach KS3–KS4 in French and Spanish. The ability to teach KS5 would be an advantage.
- Is passionate about encouraging a love of languages in all students.
